Heeeeeeeellllo world! My name's Ying (Nick) Liu, I crossed paths with technology in middle school back in the 1998 because of a science class assignment to create a single page website. Back then Pokemon was the hottest topic, so I created a web 1.0 website on angelfire.com's free hosting about Ash Ketchum and his little yellow sidekick Pikachu's adventures to catch them all. What started as a single page class assignment, grew to a three year side project where at its peak was receiving approximately one million pageviews per month. Through that experience, I learned how to use ws_ftp, adobe photoshop 5.0, macromedia flash, html, plain old javascript, and a little bit of perl scripting. However, my relationship' with programming took a detour and I went on to study accounting.

I graduated from University of Florida (UF) with an undergraduate degree in Accounting and went on to work as a Public Auditor for almost two years before heading back to UF to get my Masters in Information Systems and Operations Management. During my graduate studies, I interned at JP Morgan Technology and it reignited the techy entrepreneur within me...
